Osteopathy and Covid-19

As at March 2022. Safety is still important, and Covid-19 triggered changes are still in force, to reduce the risk of infection to anyone in the clinic. Virtual appointments, via online video-call are still available if you do not want to risk a face-to-face appointment.

To reduce the number of people you have contact with, longer gaps still exist between appointments to allow for cleaning and airing. You should wait in your car if you arrive at the clinic early. Come into the clinic at the time of your appointment and knock on the door. Do not attend if you have any signs of being unwell. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to postpone your appointment, so that the appointment can be offered to someone else who may need it.

The clinic is subject to regular cleaning, and surfaces are regularly sanitised. Hand sanitiser is available inside the clinic, and you should use it on arrival. You are required to wear a mask for your appointment. You should also wear loose or comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. Your temperature may be taken via a remote device.

In the treatment room, your belongings are placed in a sanitised container. The couch is covered in a wipe-clean cover and disposable paper couch roll. All items that contact you are sanitised before use. Any soft coverings are laundered in between use. I am still wearing a facemask and gloves, and risk-assess at the start of every appointment for other PPE.
